LegalData Sharing Policy
What marketplace data we access, where it is stored, who it is shared with, and what it is used for. Written to satisfy Amazon Acceptable Use Policy 4.6.
Last updated 17 August 2026 1. Marketplace data we access
Through Amazon SP-API, and equivalently through the eBay, Allegro, Shopify and WooCommerce APIs, Klamaru accesses:
- Orders — order details, status, shipping information and history
- Listings — product listings, status, pricing and inventory levels
- Fees — transaction fees, referral fees and other marketplace fees on your sales
- Sales data — sales metrics, revenue and performance analytics
- Stock levels — inventory quantities and stock status
2. Storage and isolation
Your marketplace data is stored only for your account and is isolated from other sellers.
- Every row carries the company that owns it, and row-level security enforces that boundary in the database itself, not only in application code
- Data is associated exclusively with your company account
- No data is shared, aggregated or combined across seller accounts
- Access is restricted to the users you authorize, under the permissions you give them
3. Sharing and third-party disclosure
We do not share, sell or disclose your marketplace data to third parties.
- Your data is never sold
- Your data is never shared with other sellers or competitors
- Your data is never used for advertising or marketing without your explicit consent
- We do not aggregate your data with other sellers' data for any purpose
The one exception is the infrastructure and delivery providers needed to run the Service on your behalf — hosting, and the carriers and marketplaces you yourself connect. Those are listed in the Data Protection Policy.
4. How the data is used
Marketplace data is used solely to provide platform functionality to you:
- Order management and processing
- Listing analytics and performance tracking
- Stock forecasting and inventory management
- Profit calculations and financial reporting
- Customer service automation
- Sales analytics and reporting
We do not use your marketplace data for any purpose other than the services you requested.
5. Security
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encryption at rest for stored data
- Marketplace access tokens stored encrypted and decrypted only through a restricted database function, never read in the clear by application code
- Role and permission controls per user, with a separate permission for managing AI keys
- Sandbox environments kept separate from production
6. Amazon Acceptable Use Policy 4.6
AUP 4.6 requires solution providers to disclose what Amazon data is collected, how it is stored, whether it is shared with third parties, and how it is used. Against those four questions:
- Amazon data (orders, listings, fees) is collected only for the connected seller
- Amazon data is stored per seller, isolated by row-level security
- Amazon data is not shared with third parties or other sellers
- Amazon data is used only to provide platform features to the connected seller
7. Retention
Buyer personal data received from marketplaces is purged automatically 30 days after order shipment by a daily scheduled job, rather than kept indefinitely — the schedule is set out in full in the Data Protection Policy. Your own commercial records — orders, stock movements, profit history — are kept for as long as your account is open, because they are the history the reports are built from.
8. Your rights
- Access the marketplace data stored in Klamaru
- Request deletion of that data
- Disconnect a marketplace account at any time
- Export your data as CSV from the platform
